Michael Headley has slammed Bedfordshire County Council’s proposal for re-organising schools in Bedford and Kempston. The changes proposed would mean that many popular local middle schools would close.
Michael said “The County Council’s proposal is deeply flawed. It does not put the education of children first. It puts structures before the interests of children. It would create a jumble of systems, in an unseemly rush for cash.”
“Those arguing for this change have labeled 3 tier as the Betamax system. If that’s the case, I would say then that the County Council should not now switch to an inferior VHS, just as everyone else is upgrading to DVD.”
